Hillary for Arkansas Announces Leadership Council
Little Rock, AR – Today, Hillary for Arkansas announced the Leadership Council – a group of over 150 elected officials, community, and grassroots leaders who will help build a grassroots-driven volunteer team that will help Hillary Clinton win the Arkansas primary on March 1st. Clinton’s Arkansas leadership council will be led by former Governor Mike Beebe, Senators David Pryor and Mark Pryor, former Undersecretary for Rural and Community Development Bob Nash, and many others. These individuals share Hillary Clinton’s commitment to breaking down the barriers to a better future for us all by raising the minimum wage, making college affordable, expanding access to health care, and protecting civil rights.
“These Arkansans know that as President, Hillary Clinton will continue to fight on behalf of our families, just as she always has,” said Hillary for Arkansas Press Secretary Mary Rutherford Jennings. “In contrast to Senator Sanders, Hillary Clinton doesn’t make big campaign promises she can’t keep or propose plans that don’t add up. From co-founding Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, chairing the Arkansas Rural Health Advisory Committee, and expanding access to early childhood education through the HIPPY program, Hillary Clinton has been fighting for children and families her entire life, getting results right here in Arkansas.”
