Senator Kohl, More Than 30 Wisconsin Elected Officials Endorse Hillary Clinton

MADISON, WI—Today, building on a successful 2-day swing of Wisconsin, Hillary Clinton was endorsed by former U.S. Senator Herb Kohl along with more than 30 elected officials, including  a large majority of Democrats in the State Legislature. Today’s announcement comes a day after Clinton also received the endorsement of U.S. Representative Ron Kind.

“I’m proud to endorse Hillary Clinton to be the next President of the United States of America,” said former U.S. Senator Herb Kohl. “A proven leader with unsurpassed experience, Secretary Clinton is supremely qualified to tackle the major issues facing our nation.  I worked closely with her for eight years in the U.S. Senate, and also witnessed her steadfast leadership during her four years of service as Secretary of State.  She is a tireless advocate with the intelligence, compassion and a lifetime of public service to help unite our diverse country.  From her earliest years fighting for civil rights and the underserved, to her hard working efforts on health care during the Clinton administration, to her long-held belief that every American deserves the right to educational and economic opportunity, Hillary Clinton knows and has what it takes to move our country forward.”

Clinton has strong grassroots supports across the state; and has been endorsed by former Governor Jim Doyle, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin, U.S. Representative Gwen Moore, and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, among other political leaders. Elected officials in Wisconsin are joining our supporters and volunteers in spreading the word that Clinton has a progressive policy agenda focused on opening more doors of opportunity for Americans: from raising wages for working families and guaranteeing that women finally have equal pay, to ensuring that students can afford college.
