Oregon Latino Leaders Endorse Hillary Clinton for President

Today, Hillary for Oregon announced the endorsement of several Latino leaders from across the state. These elected and community leaders know that Hillary Clinton is committed to breaking down all the barriers that hold Americans back, and that she is only candidate who is ready to do all parts of the job of president on day one. Clinton has been standing with Latino families in Oregon and across the country throughout her career. As president she will continue to fight for them advocating for comprehensive immigration reform, working to raise wages and improve schools for children of all ages and so much more.

“I am proud to endorse Hillary Clinton for president and to join Oregonians across the state who know she is the most qualified person to be president of the United States,” said State Representative Joe Gallegos. “Clinton is committed to raising wages and creating more good paying jobs, to ensuring all our children have access to a quality education, to reforming our broken immigration system, to protecting access to affordable health care and so much more. I am eager to help elect Hillary Clinton as our next president.”

“Hillary Clinton is my choice for President of the United States. She is smart, experienced and ready for the job! She is by far, the best choice,” said Benton County Commissioner, Annabelle Jaramillo. “I supported her in 2008 and I continue to believe that she will be a great President.”

I am supporting Hillary because she has a record of working with Latinos and other communities of color to increase our economic and educational opportunities,” said Gale Castillo, Founding President of the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber.

“Hillary’s character, experience and policies are why I’m supporting her for president,” said community advocate & former Chair of the Democratic Party of Oregon Latino Caucus, Luis Navas. “She cares deeply about our country and our people by defending our civil rights, health, education and immigrants’ rights.”

“I’m supporting Hillary Clinton because we need a leader who is ready to lead our country on day one,” said Jason Leon, former DNC Deputy Political Director. “Time and again she has demonstrated great judgement and clear action representing our country in a complicated world with poise, grace and strength. She has a strong record of fighting to strengthen the middle class and working to create a country where we all have a voice in our collective future.”

“Hillary Clinton is a smart and dedicated public servant, the best candidate who understands and values the Latino community and its culture!” said Bertha Ferran, community advocate.

“I know firsthand the challenges Latinos face in this country. It’s a pivotal time in our history that we support and elect a president not for the sake of making history, but because Hillary is the right candidate to fight for what matters to the Latino community,” said Jules Garza, community advocate.

“Hillary Clinton is extremely smart and the most experienced candidate to get the job done,” said Shelli Romero, small business owner.
