Washington, DC Senators Endorse Hillary Clinton

Today, Washington, DC Senators Paul Strauss and Michael Brown endorsed Hillary Clinton for President of the United States. Strauss and Brown cited Hillary Clinton's continued commitment to DC Statehood and her record of fighting to break down barriers for all Americans behind their support.

"I know that Hillary Clinton is the most qualified candidate to lead our country," Senator Paul Strauss said. "I have seen her work from First Lady to Senator, and know her long record of fighting to improve the lives of all Americans. I was especially encouraged by her support of Statehood for DC, and I know that she will stand by her fight to give all resident equal rights and equal representation. I hope that on June 14, you will stand with me in supporting Hillary Clinton for president."

"Washington, DC needs a strong leader to continue to move us forward and uphold the legacy of President Obama, and Hillary Clinton is the person to do it," Senator Michael Brown said. "We have made tremendous progress as a country under his leadership, and Hillary Clinton will build on that progress. She has said that as President she'll fight for DC statehood. She will continue to fight for equal pay for women, quality affordable health care and lowering student loan debt. Hillary Clinton understands the daily struggles residents of DC face, and she is the most qualified person to continue our progress."

Washington, DC votes on June 14. Senators Strauss and Brown will work with Hillary for Washington, DC to discuss with supporters and voters the importance of getting out the vote for Hillary Clinton.
