Former Mayor and President of the United States Conference of Mayors Scott Smith and Arizona Business Leader Karrin Taylor Announced as Arizona Co-Chairs Supporting Carly Fiorina

Arizona Co-Chairs Cite Carly’s Proven Leadership

PHOENIX, AZ. -- Two Arizona leaders announce their support for Carly Fiorina for President of the United States.  Scott Smith served as the Mayor of Mesa from 2008 to 2014 and as the President of the United States Conference of mayors from 2013-2014.  Karrin Taylor is the Executive Vice President of DMB Associates, Inc., and serves on the boards of major business organizations include the Great Phoenix Economic Council and the Arizona Chamber of Commerce.  Smith and Taylor will serve as Fiorina’s co-chairs in Arizona and lead the effort to continue to build support for Carly’s candidacy in the Grand Canyon State.

Former Mayor Scott Smith
“As a mayor, I experienced first-hand how federal government overreach can hurt a community.  Carly Fiorina understands that communities are the backbone of our nation.  She knows that small businesses and community banks drive our economy.  Carly is the leader that we need in Washington to cut burdensome federal regulations that hamper economic growth in communities all across Arizona. Join me in supporting Carly Fiorina for President of the United States.”

Karrin Taylor
“Carly Fiorina is a successful business leader with a proven track record of success and accomplishment.  For too long we have sent career politicians to Washington, but they have only made matters worse. In the business world, you are held accountable for your failings – and it is time we do the same for politicians in Washington.  As Carly says, career politicians have failed the American people.  If we truly want to reform our federal government and get America back in the leadership business again, we need to elect Carly Fiorina as our next President.”

Together, Smith and Taylor join a growing group of Americans nationwide who have been moved to support Carly’s candidacy because of her willingness to challenge the professional political class and take on the status quo. They will help build a grassroots network of support in Arizona and communicate why Carly’s unique and impressive background is what we need in the next President of the United States.
