RNC Chairman Reince Priebus Announces COA Chairman and Co-Chairman   

WASHINGTON – Today, the Republican National Committee Chairman (RNC) Reince Priebus announced Wisconsin National Committeeman Steve King will serve as the Chairman of the RNC’s Standing Committee on Arrangements (COA) and Ohio National Committeewoman Jo Ann Davidson will serve as the COA’s Co-Chairman.
 
King and Davidson will lead the COA, a committee responsible for planning and managing convention activities.  The chairman and co-chairman of the COA are appointed by the RNC chairman and will lead the committee comprised of at least one member of the Republican National Committee from each state.  The full COA will be announced at a later date.
 
The 2016 Republican National Convention will be held July 18-21, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio.
 
“I am thrilled to announce Steve and Jo Ann will spearhead our efforts to organize a successful national convention,” Chairman Priebus said. “Steve and Jo Ann are strong leaders who have dedicated their lives to this party and have the experience to lead and organize an event of this magnitude and importance.  I’m confident that with Steve as chairman and Jo Ann as co-chairman, the 2016 convention is in good hands, and will help us launch our next Republican presidential nominee on the road to the White House.”

“I look forward to serving with Steve to ensure the best possible convention experience for our nominee, delegates, and the city of Cleveland,” Davidson said. “Our objective is to plan and manage a successful convention so Republicans will shine on the national stage.”
 
STEVE KING:
 
Steve King is the RNC National Committeeman from Wisconsin and has served in this role since 2007. He also is a founder and partner at the King Capital, LLC, member of the Board of Directors for First Community Bank, Milton, Wisconsin and the National BSA. King is a member of the Republican Party and has served as a delegate to Wisconsin state conventions and the first congressional district caucus. He is also a member of the Boy Scouts of America and served as a national officer to the BSA in Dallas, TX and the Society of Former Special Agents, FBI. Inc. In his past experiences, King has served as the president of Milton Industrial and Economic Corporation, a U.S. Senate Candidate, , the Chairman of the 1st Congressional District GOP and the Walworth Country Republican Party and the District 15 supervisor for Walworth County. King has served on several committees for the RNC including on the 2012 convention Housing Committee and as the convention Sergeant of Arms.  Steve chaired the Republican Party of Wisconsin from 1985 to 1988 and has been a delegate to six RNC conventions.  King is also a member of the Rock County, Wisconsin GOP.
 
JO ANN DAVIDSON 
 
Jo Ann Davidson was elected to the Republican National Committee as National Committeewoman for Ohio in 2004. She served as RNC Co-Chairman from 2005-2009. She also served as Chairman of the Site Selection Committee, and the Committee on Arrangements for the 2008 National Convention. Presently, Davidson serves on the Board of Trustees at the University of Findlay and Franklin University. Previously, she was a member and former speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives and served on the Reynoldsburg City Council. She also was the regional chairman for the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign and chairman of Taft for Governor.
