RickPAC Announces Hiring of McGahn and Lauderback

AUSTIN – Gov. Perry’s leadership PAC, RickPAC, is proud to announce the hiring of Don McGahn as Chief Counsel, and Margaret Lauderback as National Finance Director.

McGahn is a Partner at Jones Day, representing elected officials, candidates, national state parties, political consultants and other leaders on political law issues. Prior to joining Jones Day, he was appointed by President George W. Bush to the Federal Election Commission, where he served as a commissioner and chairman. During his time at the FEC, McGahn oversaw significant reforms in campaign finance, many of which are current law. McGahn also served as general counsel for the National Republican Congressional Committee for nearly 10 years.

“Gov. Rick Perry swore to protect the Constitution as a veteran of the Air Force and has fought for the Rule of Law as a public servant for more than three decades,” McGahn said. “I am proud to join the effort of an executive leader who has proven his ability to govern according to conservative principles and worked to achieve results for all Americans.”

Lauderback has thirty years of experience working in Texas and around the country. She has held similar and finance consulting positions at the Republican Governor’s Association, National Republican Senatorial Committee and Texans for Greg Abbott.

“I am dedicated to ensuring RickPAC has the resources to promote conservative principles of limited government and the Texas Model,” Lauderback said. “Gov. Perry helped build an economic environment that allowed the private sector to grow and create jobs under his leadership, and I look forward to working with leaders across the country to help share the governor’s message.”
