"Dreams For My Family" Rally Urges President Obama to "Go Big"   ...3 of 3 >
July 28, 2014 - More scenes from United We Dream's "Dreams from Our Families" rally "to highlight the stories of Dreamers and their parents, and demand the President provide affirmative relief to millions."   
Tim Eakins, an organizer for United We Dream, does a litte repair work on the cover of the giant book which he help organize construction of.  He said they wanted the book, which is 10' x 6', to be "really, really big" but it couldn't be heavy.  Eakins said President Obama should "do everything he can to bring relief."
"Now iit is time to win DACA for our parents.  It is now time for President Obama to go big and go bold." declared Maria Praeli, whose mother brought her from Peru to the United States when she was five years old, 16 years ago.  "Enough is enough.  DACA needs to be extended to our parents," Praeli said.
Carlos Rojas-Álvarez, originally from Medellín, Columbia, came to the United States at age five and is campaign coordinator for Student Immigrant Movement in Boston.

On June 30, President Obama announced "a new effort to fix as much of our immigration system as I can on my own, without Congress."  He stated he expected recommendations "before the end of summer and I intend to adopt those recommendations without further delay."  The message of this rally was: "He must go big."
