"Koch Brothers Exposed: 2014 Edition" ...1 of 2 > |
May 20, 2014 - As Democrats seek to make an issue of campaign spending by billionaires Charles and David Koch in the 2014 midterm elections, director Robert Greenwald (founder and president of Brave New Films) released an updated version of his film on the Koch brothers in an event in the Capitol Visitors Center. The event drew Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Marge Baker, executive vice president at People for the American Way, also spoke, stating that Americans across the country are mobilizing to address the issue of big money in campaigns. In particular she pointed to an upcoming hearing, to be held by the Senate Judiciary Committee on June 3, on a constitutional amendment on campaign finance reform (the Udall amendment). |
