April 12, 2016--Two weeks out
from the Maryland primary and two days from the start of early voting
U.S. Secretary of Labor Tom Perez helped open the Clinton campaign
field office at 7910 Woodmont
Ave. in Bethesda. Perez described Clinton as "a dreamer and a
doer" and said she would build on the progress of President Obama and
take it to the next level." Opening temporary offices two weeks before a primary or caucus is fairly typical of the approach the Clinton campaign has taken in many states. Among the dignitaries spotted were Montgomery County Council President Nancy Floreen, Terry Lierman, former chair of the Maryland Democratic party, Ann Fishman, senior advisor to the ASDC, and Bill Galston of the Brookings Institution. On hand from the campaign were organizing director C.G. Niquette and communications director Julie McClain. |
