Organization
The RNC is a confederation of state parties. Power
flows from the local level up to the national level. Following the
defeat of Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential campaign, the RNC
established a Growth
&
Opportunity
Project; its findings, released in a report on
March 18, 2013, are bringing about major changes at the RNC, beyond the
normal cycle-to-cycle turnover, as the
party builds towards 2014 and 2016.
