Only Marco
What
is
the
Only
Marco
Grassroots
Campaign?
Only Marco is a
national grassroots
campaign proudly supporting
Marco Rubio for President of the United States of America! The Only
Marco Grassroots Campaign is ran by volunteers who believe that
Senator Marco Rubio is our only hope for President. The Only Marco
campaign is not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
What’s
the
purpose
behind
the
Only
Marco?
Our goal is to see
Marco Rubio become
the Republican Presidential
Nominee for the 2016 Presidential General Election. We understand that
he has suspended his campaign however he has chosen to not terminate
his campaign nor make an endorsement. We believe that there is a path
to a contested/brokered convention and we believe at the
contested/brokered convention, Senator Marco Rubio will become the
Republican Nominee.
We have three main
goals:
#1 – Keep Trump (and Cruz) from
securing the nomination.
#2 – Encourage Marco Rubio to
reinstate his campaign before the convention.
#3 – Secure nomination through a
contested or possibly brokered convention.
In contingency that
#3 cannot be
accomplished, we will help support
a conservative candidate that can unify the GOP and the American people
in a positive direction for a new American Century even if that nominee
is not a current candidate.
Is
Marco
Rubio
aware
of
the
Only
Marco
Movement?
Yes, Senator Marco
Rubio has been
made aware of our grassroots campaign.
Is
Senator
Marco
Rubio
open
to
becoming
the
nominee
at
a
contested/brokered
election?
If presented with
the nomination we
believe that Senator Marco Rubio
would accept. It would not be wise for him to comment on being the
nominee at a contested/brokered election at this time.

New Movement of Over 3,000 Supporters Seeks RNC Nomination of Marco Rubio for President at Brokered Convention
The Chairman of the Small Business in Transportation Coalition ("SBTC") issued a statement today that a group of over 3,000 Marco Rubio supporters has launched the new “Nominate Marco” movement and campaign, a quest to convince unbound delegates to select Rubio as the Republican nominee during a probable brokered Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio this Summer. The group's new website offers detailed strategy and FAQ pages. The website address is http://www.nominatemarco.com.
"One year ago, on the morning of April 13th, 2015, the Honorable Senator Marco Rubio rehearsed during a private breakfast in Miami his announcement speech that he would give later that day to America from Freedom Tower. I sat right in front of him. I was proud then, and I am just as proud now to announce that here we are one year later launching the NominateMarco.com grassroots effort and website. Exactly 45 days from today, on Saturday, May 28th (Memorial Day Weekend), which just so happens to be the Senator's 45th birthday, we will gather in Washington and via the Internet to celebrate our quest for Marco to be nominated by the Republican party to be the 45th president of the United States of America. Indeed, "45" is our magic number," SBTC Chairman and Nominate Marco Spokesman James Lamb said.
"I encourage all Americans who have yet to vote in their states' primaries to block Donald Trump from reaching the 1,237 delegate mark by strategically voting for Cruz or Kasich in the remaining winner-takes-all states, vote for Rubio in the remaining proportional states, and I ask all Americans to please consider signing our petition to draft Senator Rubio at the Convention," Lamb added.
Lamb's Change.org Petition states:
"Whereas, mathematically, it appears virtually impossible that any Republican candidate will receive the requisite 1,237 delegates needed to secure the 2016 Republican party presidential nomination; and
Whereas, we the members of the Republican party believe the Honorable Marco Rubio remains the best and most qualified candidate to defeat the Democratic nominee;
Now, be it hereby resolved that we the members of the Republican party hereby request that any and all unbound delegates elect Marco Rubio as our nominee; and
Be it further resolved the party remove any and all barriers and suspend or eliminate any and all rules that interfere with such ability of said unbound delegates to vote for Marco Rubio as the nominee."
Americans wishing to join the Nominate Marco campaign to draft Senator Rubio at the Convention can find the Petition here.
"We believe Marco Rubio is the one candidate who has the moral clarity, insight, vision and character who is dedicated to Conservative principles and worthy of being president. We believe neither Donald Trump nor Ted Cruz can beat Hillary. Marco Rubio Can. It's still not too late to put America back on track. America may very well get a second chance to reconsider the Honorable Sen. Marco Rubio at the convention, and I really hope we do for America's sake," Lamb said.

ABOUT SBTC
The SBTC is an international network of transportation
professionals, associations, and industry suppliers that is on the
front lines when it comes to issues that affect transportation
professionals in small business. We seek to promote and protect the
interests of small businesses in the transportation industry. We
support teamwork, cooperation, transparency, and partnerships among
truckers, carriers, brokers, and shippers and seek to promote ethical
business practices and do business with the utmost integrity.
Although we don’t like it, we
understand and respect that Marco suspended his campaign on
March 15, 2016.
However, we are not asking him to immediately reinstate his campaign. We understand such requests are not grounded in political and campaign finance realities. Since some of us were intricately involved in Marco’s campaign finance efforts, we know that although the campaign raised $47.7 million, a presidential campaign is a huge undertaking; that is, we understand what it takes to support a campaign staff payroll, travel expenses, and advertising budget in order to compete on the same level as a “self-financing” billionaire. We are therefore not asking Marco to jump back in. Not just yet…
Rather, we believe his recent move to try to hold on to his delegates and wait and see if we are headed to a contested convention is a wise and prudent one.
Our goal is clearly for Marco to be chosen as the 2016 nominee at a brokered convention. Our strategy is therefore as follows:
First,
help us stop Trump from acquiring the magic number: 1,237 delegates. If
he obtains this amount, then Marco is out of the picture this cycle.
However, if Trump fails to secure this amount, then there will be a
contested convention and Marco has a shot at winning the nomination. In
order to do this, we need to look at how we can best block Trump. While
casting your vote for Marco in state primaries in which delegates are
awarded proportional still makes sense, we must vote for the candidate
who has the best chance of defeating Trump in the winner-take-all
states. Marco has recently been positioning himself to prevent a Trump
victory by asking that he be removed from the ballot in some states. He
doesn’t want you to vote for him post suspension because he does not
want to pull votes away from the other candidate best situated to
prevent Trump from winning the state and being awarded all the state’s
delegates. The WORST thing you can do is override Marco’s move by
writing him in after he has removed himself. Sometimes, we have to take
a small step backward to make a giant leap forward. We are asking you
to monitor which candidate is giving Trump the best run for his money
and vote for that candidate in your winner-take-all state. This
keeps
the door open for Marco. NOTE: As each election
draws nearer, we will post for whom you should
vote to block Trump.
(UPDATE 5/8/16: with Donald Trump the last remaining candidate, we
believe we can no longer strategically affect the outcome. Go ahead and
vote Rubio in the remaining states, writing him in whenever possible,
out of principle.).
