Rubio Campaign Announces Rhode Island Leadership Team, Qualifies For Ballot

Today, the Marco Rubio for President campaign is proud to announce its Rhode Island leadership team. As the Rubio campaign continues to build on Marco's momentum and the strong organization the campaign has in all 50 states, Marco is prepared to share his message and compete in every corner of the country.

Along with today's leadership team rollout, the Marco Rubio campaign is proud to announce that Marco has qualified for the Rhode Island ballot with over 1800 signatures, all collected by volunteers.

“These Rhode Island leaders are backing Marco Rubio because they understand that we need a nominee this fall that will unite our party and can win a general election,” said Gary Sasse, state chairman for the Rubio campaign in Rhode Island. “I’m glad these elected officials are a part of our leadership team and will be working to promote Marco’s inspiring message of a New American Century heading into the April primary.”

“I’m proud to be backing Marco Rubio because he speaks with such a positive vision about the future of America,” said Rhode Island House Minority Leader Brian Newberry. “I know that as our party’s nominee, he will bring new voters into the conservative movement and will be the leader that America needs in the White House.”

“Marco Rubio knows that to fix America, we need to apply our country’s founding principles to the challenges of the 21st Century,” said State Senator John Pagliarini Jr. “I’m supporting him because he offers the most detailed plans to make sure that the American Dream is available to a new generation of Americans.”

“Marco Rubio’s story is the story of so many Americans, which gives him a unique perspective into the challenges that individuals across our state and our country face everyday,” said State Representative Robert Nardolillo. “I’m happy to be on his leadership team and will do whatever I can to help spread his optimistic vision across Rhode Island.”

“We are so glad to have built this team in Rhode Island as we continue to build strong organizations in all 50 states,” said Jeremy Adler, regional spokesman with the Rubio campaign. “Throughout this campaign, Marco has set himself apart as the only candidate that can bring new people into the Republican Party and defeat Hillary Clinton in November, which is why conservatives across the country continue to rally behind him.”
