Pro-Worker Immigration Reform Leader
U.S. Congressman Lou Barletta endorses Santorum for President

VERONA, PA - Republican presidential candidate and former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) announced that his campaign has received the endorsement of one of the nation's leading pro-worker immigration policy leaders, U.S. Congressman Lou Barletta (R-PA).

Santorum has made a pro-worker, pro-growth economic and immigration plan a top priority of his campaign.  Agreeing with former Democrat Congresswoman Barbara Jordan, Santorum's proposals on both illegal and legal immigration would place the American interest first.  For his strong position, Senator Santorum is the only 2016 Republican presidential candidate to receive an "A" rating from NumbersUSA.

Lou Barletta said: "I am proud to endorse Rick Santorum for President.  Senator Santorum is one of our nation's most passionate and effective voices for hardworking American families.  He understands that we need policies in Washington that put the American worker first, not big government or big money.  This means prioritizing manufacturing and ending Obama's amnesty policies.  I am looking forward to working with the Santorum campaign in the months to come to ensure that Rick Santorum and his pro-growth and pro-worker agenda takes back America for hardworking families."

Rick Santorum said: "I am honored to receive Congressman Barletta's endorsement today.  Congressman Barletta has been a tireless advocate for American workers, first as Mayor of Hazleton and now as a member of Congress.  He understands that our nation's immigration system must prioritize American interests first and foremost and that we cannot adopt the amnesty policies this Administration and Hillary Clinton advocate.  I am excited to work with Congressman Barletta to help take back America!"

U.S. Congressman Lou Barletta represents Pennsylvania's 11th Congressional District. Prior to his election to Congress, Barletta served as Mayor of Hazleton, Pennsylvania and won re-election with over 90% of the vote.  Lou and his wife Mary Grace are the parents of four daughters (Kelly, April, Lindsey, and Grace) and have three grandchildren (Gabriel Louis, Madeleine Grace, and Julia Mae).

As Mayor, Barletta was faced with a serious illegal immigration problem in Hazleton. His leadership on this issue earned him national attention for his first-of-its-kind Illegal Immigration Relief Act, which has served as a blueprint for many other communities across the United States facing similar problems. Now, as a member of Congress, Barletta has continued to be one of the nation's leading advocates for an immigration policy that puts the American worker and American priorities first.
