Donald J. Trump Draws Over 15,000 at Largest Campaign Event of Any Presidential Candidate

(Phoenix, Arizona) July 11, 2015--- Today Donald J. Trump addressed a crowd of 15,000 people at a rally in Arizona. This is by far the largest campaign event of any presidential candidate this cycle. Mr. Trump spoke about illegal immigration, trade, foreign policy, homeland security, the economy, and job creation. Mr. Trump’s truthful talk on illegal immigration has ignited a powerful national discussion about immigration policy and the dire need to secure our border.
Mr. Trump stated, “The situation at the border is a disaster and I am the only one talking about it. We have to do more to protect Americans from this great economic and national security threat. I’m very proud to have started this discussion about the need to secure our border and Americans are ready for action. Let’s Make America Great Again!”
Just hours after topping the latest national poll from Reuters, Mr. Trump spoke for forty-five minutes to the capacity crowd at the Phoenix Convention Center. At one point the line to enter the venue was over a half mile long, with thousands more hoping to hear Mr. Trump speak Saturday afternoon.
Jamiel Shaw, whose seventeen-year-old son was brutally murdered by an illegal immigrant, was also in attendance and joined Mr. Trump on-stage to share his personal experience and express his gratitude for Mr. Trump’s honesty and attention to this serious issue.
The overwhelmingly positive response in Arizona is representative of a movement across the country in support of Mr. Trump.
