TEXT: IOWA
[Music changes tempo]
Perry: My
background is off a a dry land cotton farm 200 miles west of Fort
Worth, Texas...
We didn't have running water in the house until I was 7 or 8 years
old, but we did fine; we weren't poor.
I understand blue collar hard-working people... Those
individuals, they just like to be free.
This is really about the next generation. Regardless of who
you are or what the sound of your last name is...regardless of where
you are, left or right...we need somebody that can stand up and say
listen, let's quit fighting each other; let's find the places that we
can agree on.
We long for someone in this country who has the experience to take
America on a different path than it's on today.

Perry voiceover:
You know there's nothing wrong in America today that can't be fixed
with new leadership. [applause]
