In a new ad airing on national cable television, Hillary for America highlights House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s candid admission that the true goal of the House Select Committee on Benghazi is to damage Hillary Clinton’s political standing - not to investigate the tragic events that happened in Benghazi. Seven prior investigations have already reviewed the events that took place at Benghazi in 2012, but that hasn’t stopped the Select Committee from spending another $4.5 million in taxpayer dollars to conduct one of the longest Congressional investigations in history.

Last week, during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, McCarthy cited the Benghazi investigation as one of the major successes in the Republican Congress, saying, “Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable right? But we put together a Benghazi Special Committee. A select committee. What are her numbers today?”

Clinton has long made clear that she is eager to testify again before the Select Committee despite its partisan focus, and on October 22nd, she'll finally have that opportunity.

The new 30-second spot is a new national cable TV ad buy the starts on Tuesday.
