(audio): America is not just electing a president, we're
also electing a commander-in-chief. That choice matters because
strengthening the economy, making health care more affordable, raising
incomes, all of that depends on us being both secure at home and
leading the world.
Clinton
(video clip from speech): I will get up every single day
and do whatever it takes to make sure our country is safe and strong.
Clinton
(voiceover): I'm Hillary Clinton and I approve this message.

Pledges to Keep Economy and Country Safe, Strong and Secure
Building on Hillary Clinton's successful debate
performance Saturday night, Hillary for America released a
new TV ad, “Secured,”
which highlights her commitment to “make sure our country is safe and
strong.” The ad features Clinton making the case that that we need to
strengthen the economy with affordable health care and raising incomes
while electing a Commander-In-Chief who will keep us secure at home and
leading the world.
The
ad's theme echoes what Clinton said in the
debate Saturday night where
she opened the debate saying “The American president has to both keep
our families safe and make the economy grow in a way that helps
everyone, not just those at the top.”
Independent
observers have credited Clinton’s debate message as effective. The
Washington Post’s
Chris Cillizza wrote “The former Secretary of State
was the only one on stage Saturday night who looked like she
could step
into the presidency tomorrow.” Former Ambassador Nicholas Burns wrote
that Hillary Clinton “has articulated most effective strategy – among
all the candidates in both parties – to counter ISIS.”
The new, 30-second spot is part of the campaign's ongoing buy
in
Iowa and will run alongside previously released ads.
