Female Announcer:  Sen. Bernie Sanders has some very big plans.

Bernie wants to provide free college for our young people.  No tuition.  Completely free.

Now Bernie's doubling down with Medicare for all, which is basically single-payer, government-sponsored health care.  No big insurance companies, just more government spending, paid for by raising taxes on Wall Street, big business and the super rich.

Sen. Bernie Sanders.  Too liberal for Iowa.

ESA Fund is responsible for the content of this ad.

Notes: The ad runs through some of Sanders' big plans and concludes he is "too liberal for Iowa."

The New York Times reported on this ad on Jan. 25.  According to The Times, ESA Fund is a “'super PAC' founded by the former TD Ameritrade executive Joe Ricketts," and is spending more than $600,000 to run the ad.

The group's website states:

Government spending is out of control and the officials in Washington don’t seem to “get it.” Out national debt is over $16 trillion, an all-time high, and more than $5 trillion in debt has been added in the last three years alone. A former Federal Reserve chairman calls it “scary,” and the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said that “our national debt is our biggest national security threat.”

It is up to us – the American people – to hold our politicians accountable. The ESAFund aims to protect Americans from the irresponsible spending spree in Washington and supports political candidates who understand the importance of a balanced budget.

The ESAFund is a non-partisan political action committee that independently sponsors advertisements which advocate for the election or defeat of candidates across the country on the basis of a particular candidate’s position on fiscal issues.

The founder and chairman of the ESAFund is Joe Ricketts, who is also the chairman of Ending Spending, a non-partisan advocacy group.
