Male Announcer:  The Philadelphia Tribune has endorsed Bernie Sanders for president saying Bernie offers an inspiring message and bold vision for America.

The Tribune wrote:

Since his days as a student at the University of Chicago protesting against segregation and throughout his political career, Sanders has supported policies and programs that will be in the best interest of all Americans and African Americans specifically.

He has been a consistent fighter for a more just and equitable society.

The Tribune wrote that Bernie Sanders and President Obama opposed the war in Iraq and that Sanders takes a strong stance against police abuse and misconduct without demonizing good police officers

His support for free tuition at public colleges and universities would disproportionately help African Americans and would have a major positive effect of alleviating poverty.

Bernie Sanders.  Endorsed for president by the nation's oldest continuously published African American newspaper, the Philadelphia Tribune.

Sanders:  I'm Bernie Sanders, Democratic candidate for president, and I approve this message.
