RNC Statement On Hillary Clinton’s Defeat In The Wisconsin Primary

WASHINGTON – Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement on Hillary Clinton’s defeat in the Wisconsin primary:

“Losing six of the last seven states at this stage of the race once again highlights the fact Hillary Clinton is a weak candidate running a campaign with no clear message. For months we heard from the Clinton camp that they’d have the nomination wrapped up by March, but as we head into April she’s still struggling to put away a 74 year-old socialist who never before sought office as a Democrat. Whether it’s this string of embarrassing losses or the fact she has been significantly outraised this year, it’s clear many in the Democrat party have been turned off by Hillary Clinton’s long record of flip-flops, scandals, and dishonest attacks. America is eager to break from President Obama’s failed agenda, but Clinton and Sanders are only offering to put it on steroids. It is time for a Republican president in the White House who will chart a new course for America at home and abroad.”

How Hillary Clinton Will Drag Down Senator Russ Feingold

[Madison, Wis.] – Hillary Clinton had the worst night of her campaign on Tuesday —  not only did she lose big to Senator Bernie Sanders, she weighed in on a State Supreme Court race and backed a candidate who lost. This doesn’t bode well for Democrat Senator Feingold in November. If Hillary Clinton is the nominee, Feingold will be tied to her record of scandal and deep unpopularity in Wisconsin.

“Senator Feingold and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are very similar— two politicians entrenched in Washington who have little knowledge about the struggles of Wisconsin families,” said Pat Garrett, spokesman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Hillary and Judge Kloppenburg’s poor performance in Wisconsin bodes poorly for Senator Feingold’s prospects in November.”

Hillary Clinton’s unpopularity will drag down Senator Feingold

  • Hillary Clinton was soundly defeated in the Wisconsin Democrat Primary by self-described Socialist Bernie Sanders.
  • Her support for Judge JoAnne Kloppenburg did nothing to salvage the liberal Judge’s campaign.
  • The latest Marquette Law Poll showed Clinton has a 58% unfavorable rating with Wisconsin voters.[1]
  • Despite a devastating loss in Wisconsin, Hillary Clinton’s likely nomination will spell trouble for Senator Feingold this November.
Hillary Clinton is out of touch with Wisconsin voters, her candidacy, and a candidate she supported was soundly rejected on Tuesday. Senator Feingold will have to find out how he can distance himself, or once again be on the wrong side of Wisconsin voters.
