Campaign Literature—Primaries

Hillary for America

The Clinton campaign's initial brochure highlights the "Four Fights" she outlined in her June 13 speech on Roosevelt Island.  (The cover image is from that event as well).  There are four versions, one for each of the early states, IA, NH, NV and SC.  The text of the brochures is virtually identical.  Instead of "Iowans," "Iowa's families," and "Iowa family values," the NH brochure has "Granite Staters," "New Hampshire's families" and "New Hampshire family values," and the SC brochure has the same changes. There is one notable difference in the NV brochure; it omits a line about "Nevada family values have always been part of the backbone of our country" and goes direct to "To help families..."  The four smaller photos inside the different versions of the brochure are different; two of the four in the SC brochure show African Americans and one of the NV photos shows a young woman who is possibly a Latina.  The NH, NV and SC versions add mobile update info on the back panel not found in the IA brochure.

Hillary has spent her life fighting for children, families, and our country–as a lawyer and advocate for women and children, as First Lady of Arkansas and First Lady of the United States, as Senator from New York, and as Secretary of State.

From expanding health care coverage for children and families to advancing human rights around the world, she has stood up for those who need a champion.  As president,

she will wage and win Four Fights to help families get ahead and stay ahead.

A fighter in your corner

Building an economy for tomorrow

Iowans have come back from the financial crisis because families saved and sacrificed to make it work. But the deck is still stacked for those at the top. In order to meet the challenges of the 21st century, we need to build an economy that works for everyone: making education accessible and affordable, providing tax relief to families and small businesses, and investing in the economy of the future.

Strengthening Iowa's families

Iowa family values have always been part of the backbone of our country. To help families address the new and unique pressures they're facing today, we need to make it easier for parents to succeed at work and at home. That means raising the minimum wage, leveling the playing field for women, strengthening communities, and making sure that every family feels welcome in America.

"We Americans may differ, bicker, stumble, and fall; but we are at our best when we pick each other up, when we have each other's back. Like any family, our American family is strongest when we cherish what we have in common, and fight back against those who would drive us apart."

Hillary Clinton

Defending America and our core values

As Secretary of State, Hillary leveraged America's power, smarts, and values to restore our leadership in the world. She strengthened relationships with allies, and forced adversaries to the negotiating table, while standing up for our fundamental ideals around the world. In order to keep America and Iowa strong and secure today as well as lead for the future, we need to invest in our people, our infrastructure, and our technological edge.

Revitalizing our democracy

Our political system has become so paralyzed by gridlock and dysfunction that many Iowans have lost confidence that anything can actually get done. We need to make it easier for every American to vote and get unaccountable money out of politics—even if it takes a constitutional amendment.

"It's no secret that we're going up against some pretty powerful forces that will do and spend whatever it takes to advance a very different vision for America. But I've spent my life fighting for children, families, and our country. And I'm not stopping now."
