Through hard work and dedication, Marco was able to graduate from college and law school. In 1998, Marco married his wife Jeanette and together they have four children. After experiencing the American Dream first hand, Marco dedicated his life to public service to help repay the debt he feels he owes our country. He began at the local level as a West Miami City Commissioner, before serving in the Florida House as a legislator, Majority Leader and House Speaker. In 2010, Marco took on the toughest challenge of his career, running for US Senate. Marco emerged as the clear choice of the people, winning against all odds. Marco has no doubt that with new leadership, people all across the U.S. can also achieve the American Dream and make sure this century becomes a New American Century. "With your help, we can spread the American values of family first and hard work that make South Carolina great."
