HILLARY CLINTON

A Lifetime Fighting for Children and Families

How you vote is a personal decision. However, your union has done the research and recommends Hillary Clinton for president.

AFT Recommends HILLARY CLINTON for president

Hillary Clinton has spent a lifetime advocating for the needs of children and their families. When il comes to the issues we care about as AFT members, she proudly stands with us.

Supporting public education, including free preschool: She will fight for strong, safe public schools and ensure educators and school staff have the resources they need. She will also fight for free preschool for all 4-year-olds and access to high-quality, well-compensated early education teachers and assistants. [AFT Candidate Questionnaire (2015)]

Making college affordable: She has a plan to provide free community college, help relieve the burden of student debt, and ensure students at public colleges graduate debt-free. [Washington Post, 7/6/16]

Protecting workers' voices: She has said, "We've got to stand up for unions and working people who have been at the core of the American middle class." [Vox, 2/11/16]

Expanding healthcare: She believes healthcare is a basic human right and wants all people to have guaranteed access to affordable healthcare. [Washington Post, 4/14/16]

Securing your retirement: She will fight to protect existing pensions and ensure every American can afford to retire with dignity. [hillaryclinton.com]
