Closing Statement:

Again thank you for having us here tonight and you notice that the moderator asked Hillary Clinton or Elizabeth Warren, two women who have the opportunity to be president in 2016.  I love Hillary Clinton, but I love some of Elizabeth Warren's practical things that she wants us to do, lowering interest rates for kids for college debt, the postal service being a lending institution instead of payday lenders, so both of the gals would do a great job.

I think the challenges that we have now need a new perspective, a fresh perspective and I just think the time is right for a leader who has run effective organizations and has a track record of putting our progressive values into action in the community to make it stronger.

As a native here, I understand what it takes for a working class family to make a living and have economic stability.

As the daughter of a 30-year postal employee I understand how important it is to stand up for our federal employees and not let the government be shut down ever again.

It's time for a woman to talk about the decisions that we make with our doctors should be just between our doctors, and the government, our employees should have nothing to do with it.

It's time for a leader who believes in equal pay, but also increasing capital so that men and women can be employers and not just employees.

The time is right for leadership that will engage the will of the people to find common sense solutions like background checks for gun, to decrease gun violence.

People say, well you don't lack political experience.  We put a political organizer, a community organizer in the White House, we can put a community leader in the U.S. House.  I want to represent you in the U.S. House.  Thank you.
