Feb. 23, 2015 - Vice President Joe Biden addressed National Organization of Counties (NACO)'s annual Legislative Conference, outlining the Obama Administration's priorities on education, training and infrastructure.  Over 1,500 county officials are gathered at the Marriott Wardman Park from Feb. 21-25 for the conference.  The officials are meeting in various committees and caucuses, participating in workshops, and lobbying Congress on legislative priorities.  At the top of the list of seven priorities NACo is focusing on is preserving the tax exempt status of municipal bonds.  Also high on the list is fixing the Highway Trust Fund and providing long-term transportation funding.
