DNC Member, State Delegate Heather Mizeur Endorses Sanders

BALTIMORE – U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders campaign on Friday announced the endorsement of Democratic National Committeewoman, state delegate and former gubernatorial candidate Heather Mizeur.  As early voting begins, Mizeur released the following statement on her support for Sanders:

“I’m proud announce my support for Sen. Bernie Sanders. Right now, too many corporations and special interests seek to overpower the voices of everyday people. I admire Bernie Sanders' commitment to a progressive economic agenda that creates jobs, raises wages, protects the environment and provides health care for all.  

"Sen. Sanders is building a movement that will take back our political systems and ensure that our government works for everyone, not just the very wealthy. I believe Bernie Sanders is the best choice for the citizens of Maryland. Voters can trust that Bernie Sanders will fight to create a fair and just society that affirms that value of our brothers and sisters– gay, straight, black, brown, young and old. We need a progressive leader to fight for us and Bernie Sanders is that leader.”

Mizeur, the 41st superdelegate to publicly endorse Sanders, will join volunteers and supporters at campaign events in Baltimore this weekend. Maryland voters can vote early until April 21.  The Democratic presidential primary is April 26.
