REPUBLICANS | DEMOCRATS
Republican Activity Dominates
(March 31, 2015) - At this point the Republican field seems wide open. There is one declared (Cruz-03/23), one exploratory (Carson-03/02), one testing the waters (Graham-01/29) candidate and more than a dozen potential candidates. On the Democratic side Hillary Clinton's heavyweight status as the likely nominee has frozen activity by all but a few alternative prospects. The result has been about four times as much activity on the Republican side as on the Democratic side in these three early states.
